Utilizing the already well proven models of Transverse
Cutting Units, Schaeff - Terex have launched an exciting
& innovative range of Cutter-Bucket Combination'
attachments.
This multifunctional tool combines a Hydraulic Cutting
Unit with the UTS bucket system that can be used to
excavate, cut & crush on site!
The extensive range offers 5 models suitable for use
on excavators from 2 to 50 tons.
They key benefits are: Material is excavated &
crushed in one operation; time saved in attachment change;
massive cost savings on job site. |

Main Advantages of this New System:
- No Attachment Change required
- Smooth & Gentle Machine Operation
- Accurate Cutter Control / Guide via the Bucket, i. e.
Straight Cut & Less Vibrations
- Direct Crushing of Excavated Material at the Site for
Easy Reuse (e.g. Backfilling of Trenches)
- Significant Savings on Machinery and Dumping of Excavated
Material
- TCU can also be used for standard operation, i. e. without
bucket assembly
- System can be refitted on Any Schaeff-TCU

General Information
In co-operation with U.T.S., Terex has developed a
unit capable of on-site excavating, cutting, and crushing
in one operation, where previously two or three separate operations
were required.
This innovation combines the well-proven Schaeff hydraulic
Transverse Cutting Units and the newly developed U.T.S.-system.
Existing Schaeff Cutter Units can also be retro-fitted with
this system.
The new Cutter-Bucket-Crushing combination is ideal for road
pipeline construction where accurate guidance of the Cutter
Unit together with minimum vibration and noise is essential.
Excavated material collected by the bucket can be crushed,
the bucket serving as a chute feeds material to the Cutter
Unit which acts as a coarse grinding tool. The material is
then ready for immediate re-use, thus saving costs for further
machines and operations, transportation and waste disposal.
