Roadheaders Type Webster-Schaeff

The compact Webster Schaeff roadheaders are outstandingly versatile and optionally diesel or electric driven. Universally rotating and swivelling, the cutting boom is able to cut tunnel profiles accurately. It also permits various tools to be mounted on it: as well as various cutting heads, mounting options include drill rigs, loading buckets, hydraulic rock breakers, and working platforms. Speed is a major factor in this: the individual components can be exchanged quickly and easily on-site. The machines can be easily dismantled into components for underground transportation, and are very quickly re-assembled.

One machine was designed by our experts especially for the construction of emergency exit tunnels: the tight space available means it is kept very short and narrow. The boom, with its rotating cutting head, is ideal for precise profile cutting.
