The TE 210 Tunnelling Excavator is predestined for use in conventional
tunnelling in soft ground with small and medium-sized cross sections.
The TE 210 is distinguished by its compact and robust design.
The machine's superstructure featuring a short-tail swing
radius enables it to be deployed in narrow tunnels. The kinematics
of the work equipment in combination with its high breakout
forces permits advance in low-profile tunnels higher than
approx. 4,800 mm, while operating heights of up to approx.
8,500 mm are easily mastered in equal measure. Terex
also offers customized solutions for larger or smaller boom
reaches.
In addition to standard boom cutting tools such as buckets, hydraulic
transverse cutting units, rock breakers, drill rigs and more are
available.
At customer's request, the TE 210 can be equipped with a zero-emission
electric motor instead of the conventional diesel engine (or converted
into emission-free electric drive). Power is supplied by a cable
drum either mounted directly on the superstructure or alternatively
on the undercarriage. A special slip-ring assembly with electrical
sliding contact ring installed on the excavator superstructure ensures
that the 360-degree swing range is maintained.
