The Schaeff/ITC-Typee tunnel heading and loading machines are used
in most tasks in conventional tunnelling, in small and medium-sized
cross sections, and in soft up to medium hard ground.
The modular design of the different basic units means the machines
can be perfectly modified for use in the specific tunnel cross-section
and geological conditions.
Fitted with a powerful diesel engine and/or electric motor, the
machines are highly mobile: by diesel into the tunnel, and then
at the face using the zero-emission electric motor. The excavated
material is rapidly shifted to the rear by means of a conveyor system
integrated into the machine.
For each Typee of machine, a choice of boom tools for conventional
tunnel heading, mucking tools for drill and blast heading, as well
as tools for rock breaker tunnelling in harder conditions are available.
In addition to standard excavation tools such as buckets, mounting
options include patented hammer/bucket combinations, mucking tools,
hydraulic transverse cutting units, rock breakers, drill rigs, and
more.
If requested, we also offer boom tools tailored to your specific
application.
